This project involves the reconstruction of the original railway truss bridge over the Vraňany–Hořín navigation canal. The original bridge was completely removed and replaced with a new structure. The new bridge consists of reinforced-concrete abutments founded on jet-grouting columns and micropiles, and a 29-metre steel truss superstructure whose shape is based on the original bridge design.
The superstructure is now liftable, with a vertical movement of approximately 3.1 metres, allowing the passage of high vessels (clearance height 7 m). The box abutments contain technical rooms housing the equipment required for the operation of the bridge. In the necessary sections before and after the bridge, the railway superstructure was reconstructed. The bridge is equipped with signalling, signage, and a remotely controlled line safety system.
