Over the past months, SAGASTA s.r.o. has received several prestigious awards for its projects in both transport and public infrastructure. The company achieved success in the capital as well as in the South Bohemian Region, where its work impressed expert juries and the general public alike. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Two Awards for the Prague Railway Node and Success in Radot\u00edn<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In June 2024, the national competition Czech Transport Construction 2024<\/strong> announced its results. Among the winning projects was the Feasibility Study of the Prague Railway Node including High-Speed Connections,<\/strong> in which SAGASTA s.r.o. participated as one of the design partners. The project received two awards: the \u010cKAIT Award<\/strong> for the Designer, presented to Ing. Michal Babi\u010d of Mott MacDonald CZ, spol. s r.o., and the Public Award<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Another significant recognition for SAGASTA came from the Building of the Year 2024<\/strong> competition for the reconstruction of the station building at Praha\u2013Radot\u00edn<\/strong>. The expert jury awarded the company the Main Partner Award of EGOE<\/strong>. The design by Ing. arch. Marek Wajser resulted in a new, slightly elevated transparent hall that continues the platform roof in a modern architectural expression and stands as an exemplary work of contemporary public-space architecture. Prestigious Awards for SAGASTA Projects in the South Bohemian Region<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In the Heritage Site of the Year 2024<\/strong> competition, organised by the Association of Historic Towns and Villages of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, the reconstruction of the historic station building in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice<\/strong>\u2014another project involving SAGASTA\u2014was recognised for its sensitive approach and respect for the building\u2019s historical value. <\/p>\n\n

This success is followed by further major projects in the region, including the planned construction of a new underpass<\/strong> connecting the station building with the adjacent car park, and above all the preparation of the P\u011btidom\u00ed road tunnel<\/strong>. This tunnel will link the eastern and western parts of the city beneath the marshalling yard and, at nearly 400 metres long with two underground junctions<\/strong>, represents a unique engineering structure even on a European scale. <\/p>\n\n

In the biennial PRESTA \u2013 Prestigious Building of South Bohemia<\/strong> competition, organised by \u010cKAIT, the \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice station project won the title in the category Public and Industrial Buildings \u2013 Reconstruction<\/strong>. Other SAGASTA projects in the region were also successful: the reconstruction of the bridge in T\u00fdn nad Vltavou<\/strong> won the main title in the Transport and Engineering Structures<\/strong> category, while the bridge and footbridge project at the Jord\u00e1n pond in T\u00e1bor<\/strong> received an Honourable Mention<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Recognition for Young Professionals and a Strong Focus on Quality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

SAGASTA places great emphasis on nurturing talent and supporting the professional growth of young engineers. A notable individual achievement is the Professor Bechyn\u011b Award<\/strong> received by Jozef Kost\u00farik<\/strong>, a member of the SAGASTA project team. His thesis at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU in Prague, titled \u201cAnalysis of the Influence of Actual Dimensions of the Tunnel Secondary Lining on its Structural Behaviour\u201d<\/em>, was selected as the best of 2024. <\/p>\n\n
