Footbridge across the town island in Písek is open

During the four-month complete reconstruction, the walkway planks of the bridge deck were replaced, damaged steel riveted elements were renewed, and the bearings of the bridge structure were repaired. The steel structure was blast-cleaned and newly painted. The project also included the relocation of all utility networks running along the footbridge and the repair of the concrete bridge in Ostrovní Street. The reconstruction of the 92-year-old footbridge was carried out by Metrostav, and the project was provided by SAGASTA s.r.o.
